Biography

Julia Ann Katarincic, MD, is a Professor of Orthopaedics with a specialization in hand microvascular surgery for both children and adults, demonstrating particular expertise in pediatric upper extremity problems. Her clinical practice interests include arthritis of the hand, congenital hand anomalies, microsurgery, brachial plexus injuries, peripheral nerve injuries, and carpal tunnel syndrome fractures. Since returning to Providence to join University Orthopedics in 2002, Dr. Katarincic has developed a reputation for her comprehensive care in these areas. Before joining University Orthopedics, she practiced at the Mayo Clinic and Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Katarincic also served as a member of the Department of Orthopaedics at Massachusetts General Hospital and affiliated with Harvard Medical School.
