Biography

Julia Kramer is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Michigan, specializing in the intersection of engineering design and public health. She earned her Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley in 2020, where she also completed her Master's degrees in Public Health and Mechanical Engineering. Her research interests focus on design theory and methodology, collaborative engagement in engineering design, and health applications, particularly in the context of medical device design processes.
