Biography

Professor Lee’s research interests encompass financial regulation and commercial law, with a focus on strategic decision-making and the impact of legal rules on social norms and human behavior. Prior to joining Penn State Dickinson Law, she served as a senior regional attorney at the FDIC in Chicago, where she advised on the supervision of troubled banks and conducted prohibition removal actions for bank officers and directors. She also worked as an associate in the securities practice group at Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale Dorr LLP, counseling broker-dealers and financial institutions on compliance with federal securities laws and self-regulatory organization rules. Professor Lee earned her J.D. from Yale Law School in 2003, where she was a senior editor of the Yale Law Journal and the managing editor of the Yale Journal of International Law. She holds a B.A., with distinction in history, from Yale College, having graduated summa cum laude and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. From 2003 to 2004, she served as a law clerk for Judge Judith W. Rogers on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit.
