Biography

Julia Wiktor joined Chalmers University in 2019. She obtained her Master of Science degree from Grenoble INP in France and Gdansk Technical University in Poland. Julia pursued her PhD studies on nuclear materials at CEA Cadarache in France, where she was awarded her doctoral degree from Aix-Marseille University in 2015. After completing her doctorate, she moved to EPFL in Switzerland for a postdoctoral position, focusing on solar materials. Her main scientific interests involve novel photoabsorbing materials for solar devices. In particular, Julia applies advanced electronic structure methods to investigate how complex physical phenomena occurring at the atomic scale affect the efficiency of solar devices.
