Biography

Julian Stribling is a senior lecturer with a clinical career that has spanned various areas including secondary and primary care, coronary care, medical admissions, and community nursing. He has served as a community cardiac liaison nurse in the London Borough of Haringey and as a senior research nurse for the British Heart Foundation Family Heart Study at the Leicester site. He undertook an MPhil that investigated the perceptions of risk among individuals whose siblings experienced premature heart attacks. Julian has extensive experience in higher education, focusing on inter-professional education, module and programme leadership, and curriculum development, including transnational education. He has served as the Associate Head of School at De Montfort University, overseeing student experience and curriculum quality. His PhD explored the pathways individuals take into nursing using Bourdieu's theory of practice, focusing on socialization into the profession. Before joining King’s College London, he led simulated practice learning at Coventry University. He teaches module 7KANP120 (Clinical Leadership) and is involved in developing a new MSc in healthcare leadership with the King’s Business School.
