Biography

Juliana Pare-Blagoev is an Associate Professor at the Johns Hopkins University School of Education, focusing on developmental psychology and educational neuroscience. Her current research aims to understand and address the unique educational needs of pediatric survivors of childhood cancer. She employs a combination of brain and behavioral methods in lab-based research to explore skills related to language learning. Additionally, she has engaged in collaborative classroom-based research to create and test STEM classroom tools that are grounded in cognitive science and informed by practitioners' expertise. Pare-Blagoev is a founding member of the International Mind, Brain, Education Society and has worked to improve the bidirectional integration of knowledge between research and educational practice. She currently serves as an associate editor for the society's journal, Mind Brain Education.
