Biography

Dr. Julianne Lauring is a board-certified specialist in Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Maternal-Fetal Medicine. She graduated from Boston University and received her M.D. from the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine. After completing her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology, she went on to pursue a fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. From 2018 to 2020, she served as Associate Residency Program Director at UMass Chan Medical School and received the Faculty Teaching Award at UMass Memorial Health in 2019. Dr. Lauring became the Medical Director of the Maternity Center at UMass Memorial Health in 2020, where she implemented various quality improvement projects aimed at enhancing patient care and experience. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology at Weill Cornell Medical College, where she continues her commitment to improving clinical practices, especially in enhancing patient experience and reducing health disparities in maternal care. Notable awards include the Hospital Team Award for the Perinatal-Neonatal Quality Improvement Network of Massachusetts in 2019 and the Full-time Faculty Teaching Award at UMass Chan Medical School in 2009.
