Julie Carrier is a researcher at the Centre d'études avancées en médecine du sommeil (CÉAMS) of the Hôpital du Sacré-Cœur de Montréal and the research center of the Institut universitaire de gériatrie de Montréal, where she has worked for 15 years. In 2013, she established the Canadian Sleep Circadian Network (CSCN), now comprising 60 researchers from 19 Canadian universities and various community, governmental, and private sectors aiming to enhance knowledge transmission regarding sleep and biological rhythms between research and clinical environments. Her leadership extends beyond her research activities, reflected in her 140 publications and presentations at over 85 national and international scientific conferences. Julie is actively involved in student mentorship, having supervised numerous graduate students and postdoctoral researchers. Additionally, she is dedicated to making knowledge from CÉAMS accessible to the public and healthcare professionals, continuing to contribute to research efforts aimed at improving sleep health.
