Dr. Julie Cederbaum

Biography

Julie Cederbaum is a Professor at the Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work, University of Southern California. Her research focuses on the impact of childhood adversity and the positive compensatory experiences that can enhance family processes and youth well-being. Utilizing a dyadic family systems approach, her work explores the strengths and challenges faced by families, particularly in the contexts of parenting, motherhood, and fatherhood. She is highly engaged in the fields of behavioral health and reproductive health, and her scholarship contributes significantly to the discourse on public health social work as a unifying framework for addressing social work's grand challenges.
