Julie Lehman serves as the Farm Youth Network Coordinator at the Center for Regional Food Systems (CRFS) at Michigan State University. With over 20 years of experience in youth work, community development, and education, she provides network coordination activities and communications support for various initiatives including the Michigan Farm School and the Farm Early Care Education programs. Julie has been involved with the Lake Michigan School Food Systems Innovation Hub, focusing on enhancing food systems in Michigan. She holds dual degrees in communications and education from Michigan State University. Her passion for food systems is rooted in her experiences growing up in her family's apple orchard in mid-Michigan, along with a background in teaching at a PreK to 5th-grade school garden in northern California. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening and aims to create a beautiful space inspired by her grandmother's garden.
