Dr. Julie Loblinzk

Biography

Julie Loblinzk is an Adjunct Lecturer at the School of Education, University of New South Wales (UNSW) in Sydney. As a Research Fellow at the National Health and Medical Research Council (NH&MRC), she co-designed and co-produced research that significantly impacts the lives of people with intellectual disabilities. She is actively involved in disseminating her research through journal articles, conferences, and a blog titled Disability & Me. Julie serves as a guest speaker to undergraduate students in the Bachelor of Education and Master of Education programs, focusing on Special Education. Additionally, she is a Board Member of Self Advocacy Sydney and is a well-recognized self-advocate with lived experience of intellectual disability. She has extensive experience in supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities to confidently make their own life choices and live fulfilling lives within the community. Over the years, Julie’s work has made a substantial impact in her field, highlighting the importance of industry knowledge and community engagement in advocacy.
