Biography

Julie Meyer is a lecturer in the Department of Engineering at King’s College London. She holds a BSc in Physics (2013) and an MSc in Engineering Sciences (2015) from Sorbonne University, Paris. Julie worked as an industry consultant for Nagata Acoustics from 2015 to 2017, prior to obtaining her DSc in Computer Science from Aalto University, Espoo, Finland in 2022, where her dissertation focused on the intersection of computational acoustics and perceptual audio evaluations in the context of binaural rendering. From 2023 to 2025, she served as a postdoctoral research associate in the Audio Experience Design team at Imperial College London, specializing in spatial audio and virtual/augmented reality applications. Her current research interests encompass spatial audio rendering methods, immersive audio, and designing psychoacoustic experiments in complex, realistic scenarios.
