Dr. Julie Rice

Biography

Julie Rice is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. With a background in Emergency Medicine, she completed her residency at Johns Hopkins University in 2015. Dr. Rice is deeply involved in simulation education and serves as a clinical instructor within the Department of Emergency Medicine. Her focus lies on enhancing the educational experience of residents through simulation-based methodologies. She has participated in advanced specialized training in medical education, honing her skills particularly in simulation-based education. Dr. Rice's research interests include deliberate practice, the role of simulation-based education in low- to middle-income countries, and resident wellness. She aims to expand educational offerings in her field and advocate for the importance of wellness among medical professionals.
