Biography

Julie Ngoc Thai is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at Stanford University, specializing in primary care population health practices. She is fellowship-trained in geriatric medicine and provides care at the Stanford Senior Care Clinic. Thai completed her medical degree at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and holds a Master of Public Health from Columbia University. Her residency in family medicine was completed at McLaren Flint, where she served as chief resident. Thai's clinical research background includes significant contributions in population health, particularly focused on motivational interviewing techniques for smoking cessation. She has worked on research projects related to rheumatoid arthritis and lupus, especially at the Cedars Sinai Medical Center. As an endourology research fellow, her work at Mount Sinai Health System concentrated on renal stone disease and clinical outcomes. Thai is an active member of multiple professional organizations, including the American Geriatrics Society and the American Academy of Family Physicians.
