Biography

Julien Morizot is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychoeducation at Université de Montréal. He holds a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Laval University (1998) and a Ph.D. in Psychology from the Université de Montréal (2003). He completed his post-doctoral training in Psychology at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in 2005. His research focuses on personality development, particularly during adolescence and emerging adulthood, and the associations between personality traits and issues such as antisocial behavior and adjustment problems. Morizot investigates how environmental factors, including friendship, family relationships, and parenting practices, influence personality development and antisocial behavior. He also works on psychometrics and the validation of psychological instruments. He has supervised numerous graduate theses exploring topics such as the predictive links between personality traits and parental alliance, early maltreatment as a risk factor for personality disorders, and the role of parental supervision in moderating adolescent antisocial behaviors.
