Biography

Juliette De Maeyer holds a doctorate from the Université libre de Bruxelles and has been an associate professor in the Department of Communication at the Université de Montréal since 2014. Her research focuses on the materiality, technologies, and epistemology of journalism, often approached from a historical perspective. She is a co-founder of the reading and activity group Paperology and also of Atelier -30-, a research laboratory on journalism. Juliette is a member of the Interuniversity Research Centre on Digital Humanities and the Research Group on Political Communication. She has contributed to numerous research projects and has been recognized with excellence awards in teaching at her faculty, highlighting her commitment to innovative educational practices.
