Dr. Julio Faria

Biography

Julio Faria, MD, is a Colorectal Surgeon at Jewish General Hospital and holds the rank of Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at McGill University. He earned his medical degree from McGill University and completed his residency training in General Surgery, where he spent five years studying molecular biology of colorectal cancer. Dr. Faria underwent subspecialty training in Colon Rectal Surgery at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. He is certified by the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada in General Surgery and American Board in Surgery and Colon Rectal Surgery. Additionally, he holds specialist certificates in General Surgery and Colon & Rectal Surgery from the Collège des Médecins du Quebec and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada. Dr. Faria has been involved in various committees, including Young Researchers and Continuing Medical Education, and has contributed to the American Society of Colon Rectal Surgery.
