Dr. Jun Deng

Biography

Jun Deng is a Professor of Therapeutic Radiology and Director of Physics Research at Yale University School of Medicine. He holds board certifications from the American Board of Radiology and is recognized as a fellow in the American Association of Physicists in Medicine and the American Society for Radiation Oncology. Dr. Deng received his PhD from the University of Virginia and completed his postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford University. His research focuses on artificial intelligence in medicine, specifically in areas such as machine learning, medical imaging, decision support systems, and digital twin technology for cancer patients. He leads the Yale Smart Medicine Lab and actively collaborates with various peer-reviewed journals and national science foundations. Dr. Deng's work has attracted significant funding from organizations including NIBIB, NSF, and NIH. He has also served as a mentor for various research fellows and has been recognized as a key thought leader in the field of cancer AI. As an academic, he has published extensively and participates in editorial boards, contributing significantly to advancements in precision medicine and healthcare.
