Dr. Jun Feng

Biography

Jun Feng is a full Professor of Surgery at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. He is also the Director and Senior Research Scientist at the Cardiothoracic Surgery Research Laboratory within the Cardiovascular Research Center at Rhode Island Hospital. Professor Feng has a robust research agenda focusing on vascular and endothelial biology, with particular interests in cardiovascular diseases, metabolic syndrome, diabetes, hypertension, and Alzheimer's disease. He has published over 160 peer-reviewed articles and has been involved in extensive funding initiatives, including grants from the National Institutes of Health and the American Heart Association. Professor Feng has a solid educational background, having completed his graduate studies at Xinyang Medical School and his PhD in Physiology at the University of Montreal. He has served in various academic roles, including mentoring students and fellows, reflecting his commitment to advancing cardiovascular research and training the next generation of scientists in the field. Additionally, he plays an active role in reviewing scientific research for various journals and organizations. Outside of his academic responsibilities, Professor Feng participates in numerous collaborative research projects and training programs aimed at increasing diversity in health-related research and advancing cardiovascular health.
