Dr. Jun Zou

Biography

Jun Zou is a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Texas A&M University. He obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2002 and has a strong educational background with a Master’s degree from Tsinghua University and a Bachelor’s degree from Chongqing University. His research primarily focuses on micro sensors, micro actuators, and microsystems, with significant contributions to the fields of micro optical acoustic device systems for non-destructive sensing and imaging. He is also involved in advancing 3D micro nanofabrication technologies, which has implications across various engineering applications. With numerous publications and awards, including the Seno Medical Paper Award at the SPIE Photonic West Conference in 2013 and a Distinguished Paper Award at the Digestive Disease Week in 2010, Professor Zou has established himself as a prominent figure in his research areas. His work not only enhances the understanding of microscale systems but also paves the way for innovative applications in engineering and technology.
