Dr. Jung Han

Biography

Jung Han is a professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Yale University, where he leads the Optoelectronics Materials Devices Group. His research focuses on wide bandgap semiconductor materials, optoelectronic and microelectronic devices, as well as nanoscale materials devices. He has contributed significantly to the understanding and application of semiconductor epitaxy and hybrid organic-inorganic semiconductors. Han’s work has been published in numerous prestigious journals, highlighting advancements in areas such as nanoporous devices, high reflectance GaN photonics, and integrated white-light-emitting diodes using quantum dots. He completed his Ph.D. at Purdue University and has been recognized for his contributions to the field through various awards and honors. As a leader in optoelectronics, he plays a crucial role in advancing technology that impacts both academic and industry applications.
