Biography

I am a Ph.D. candidate in early childhood education at Macquarie University, with a keen interest in children's outdoor play. My Ph.D. project is focused on understanding the potential changes in children's outdoor activity within Australian and Chinese early childhood education care centres, particularly in the context of the COVID-19 restrictions and the factors influencing these changes. My academic journey includes a Master's Degree where I explored and compared risky play in kindergartens in Norway and Shanghai, and a Bachelor's Degree from Shandong Normal University. I am actively involved in various research outputs and have presented my work on the perceptions of early childhood educators regarding children's outdoor play in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
