Biography

Junne Kamihara is an experienced educator and researcher specializing in pediatric oncology and genetic predisposition to cancer. He holds an MD from Harvard Medical School, acquired in 2008, and a PhD in Human Genetics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, completed in 2006. Kamihara serves as the Associate Director for MD Advising at the Harvard-MIT Health Sciences Technology Program and Co-Director of the Pediatric Cancer Genetic Risk Program. His research focuses on early tumor surveillance detection and cancer interception strategies, particularly concerning retinoblastoma and other pediatric cancers. Kamihara is affiliated with the Dana-Farber/Boston Children’s Cancer and Blood Disorders Center and the Childhood Solid Tumors Center at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
