Professor Jürgen Gschwend's research interests primarily focus on operative clinical uro-oncology. He carries out research projects in molecular oncology, concentrating particularly on micrometastasis and signal transduction in bladder and prostatic carcinoma. Professor Gschwend is the spokesperson for the Working Group on Urological Oncology at the German Cancer Society (DKG) and serves as a member of the advisory board for TUM's university hospital Rechts der Isar, along with being the Vice-Dean of the TUM School of Medicine.
