Biography

Justin D. Bigelow is a Deputy City Attorney representing the Port Office for the San Francisco City Attorney Dennis Herrera. Prior to joining the City Attorney's Office, Justin worked in private practice in Oakland, where he represented local governments, affordable housing developers, and nonprofit clients on a range of issues including real estate transactions and compliance with planning and environmental laws. His extensive experience covers affordable housing, landlord-tenant law, municipal law, tax-exempt entity law, property management, entity formation, and employment law. Originally from Minnesota, Justin earned his bachelor's degree from Macalester College. He subsequently earned his Juris Doctor from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law (cum laude) and a Master's in City Planning from the University of California, Berkeley.
