Biography

Justin Lauka is an Assistant Professor at the Johns Hopkins University School of Education. He holds a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from Old Dominion University. His research focuses on counseling supervision, clinical training, and professional educational standards. Justin has presented numerous workshops at local, state, regional, and national levels and has published in various scholarly journals. He possesses extensive clinical and administrative experience in both higher education and community-based settings. Prior to his current role, Justin served as the program director for a CACREP-accredited clinical mental health counseling program at Johns Hopkins. He is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Maryland and an active member of the American Counseling Association (ACA) and the Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (ACES). In addition, Justin serves as a Site Team Chair for the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP).
