Justin McCaul is a descendant of the Mbarbarum Traditional Owners from far north Queensland. He joined the Australian National University (ANU) College of Law as a Research Associate and PhD Candidate in February 2019. Additionally, he has researched for the National Native Title Council, addressing the challenges faced by registered native title bodies corporate (RNTBC) in leveraging native title rights for economic development.
