Biography

Justine S. Murison is a Professor and Department Head in the Department of English at the University of Illinois. She is an LAS Alumni Distinguished Professorial Scholar with research interests centered on Nineteenth-Century American Literature, Early American Literature, and the intersections of medicine and literature. Murison has contributed significantly to the fields of Gender/Sexuality Studies, Romanticism, and Victorian Women’s Literature.
