Biography

Wayne Hindmarsh is the Dean Emeritus and Professor at the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Toronto. He served as Dean of the University of Toronto for 11 years from 1998 to 2009. Prior to this, he held positions as Dean at the University of Manitoba and as Assistant Dean at the College of Pharmacy at the University of Saskatchewan. Dr. Hindmarsh earned a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and a Master of Science at the University of Saskatchewan, followed by a PhD from the University of Alberta. His prolific research output includes over 80 scientific articles focusing on drug distribution and forensic toxicology. He is also the author of books aimed at both high school and primary school audiences that address drug-related issues such as peer pressure. In addition to his academic roles, he has served as President of multiple pharmacy-related associations and was recognized with the Order of Canada for his significant contributions to pharmacy education and practice.
