Dr. Kai Bremer

Biography

Kai Bremer is a professor of Modern German Literature at Freie Universität Berlin, where he has been part of the Department of Philosophy and Humanities. His scholarly interests and contributions lie primarily in the field of German literature from the early modern period to the present, with a specific focus on social history and literary theory. Bremer has held significant positions, including being a PI at the Friedrich Schlegel Graduate School for Literary Studies and serving as the chief editor of the International Archives for Social History of German Literature. He has published extensively and edited numerous academic volumes, demonstrating his influence and leadership in literary studies.
