Biography

Kai Xu is currently a Lecturer in the Department of Engineering at King's College London, UK. His research focuses on ultra-low-power CMOS integrated circuits (IC), wireless communication, and emerging applications such as medical implants and AI-assisted RF systems. Kai received his MSc and PhD degrees in Electronic Engineering from Peking University, China and University College Dublin, Ireland in 2015 and 2020 respectively. Prior to joining King’s College London, he held academic research positions at University College Dublin, IMEC, University of Macau, Harvard University, and Ghent University. He has authored or co-authored 15 papers in peer-reviewed journals and conferences. Kai is also a recipient of the Flanders DUO Fellowship (2013) and the IEEE SSCS STGA Award (2018). He is a member of the IEEE Solid-State Circuits Society (SSCS) and has served as a regular reviewer for more than 10 international journals including the IEEE Journal on Solid-State Circuits and IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems.
