Biography

Professor Kailash Bhatia is a leading expert in Clinical Neurology, specializing in movement disorders within the Department of Clinical and Movement Neurosciences at University College London. He is an Honorary Consultant Neurologist at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in Queen Square, London. Bhatia obtained his medical degree from the University of Bombay, and further training in neurogenetics and movement disorders under prominent mentors. He has authored over 620 peer-reviewed publications, contributed to numerous book chapters, and edited significant texts, including "Marsden’s Book of Movement Disorders" published by Oxford University Press. Bhatia is also the founding editor of the Movement Disorders Clinical Practice Journal and has previously served as an Associate Editor for the Movement Disorders Journal. His leadership roles extend to various international committees, and he is an active member of several neurology associations.
