Dr. Kalani Pattison

Biography

Kalani Pattison graduated from Baylor University with a PhD in English, concentrating on Religion and Literature. His dissertation focused on seventeenth-century British lyric poetry. Currently, his research primarily concentrates on religion, theology, and British Church English poetry, while also expressing interest in a diverse array of related and unrelated fields. Pattison enjoys teaching both writing and literature courses. He is also an avid traveler, exploring internationally and domestically. His research interests encompass various areas, including Children's Literature, Culture, Composition, Rhetoric, Discourse Studies, Postcolonial Literature, Lyric Poetry Theory, Early Modern Women Writers, and Young Adult Literature, with a particular emphasis on Early Modern Studies, Linguistics, and the intersection of Religion and Literature.
