Dr. Kamal Busaidy

Biography

Kamal F. Busaidy is a Professor at the UTHealth Houston School of Dentistry. He specializes in Oral Maxillofacial Surgery and has made significant contributions to the field through his extensive practice and expert knowledge. Busaidy is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral Maxillofacial Surgery and has served as a past examiner for the board. He is also a fellow of the American Association of Oral Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American College of Surgeons, and the Royal College of Surgeons of England. In addition to his clinical practice, he is the president of the Houston Society of Oral Maxillofacial Surgeons and serves as the director of the Hinds Academy Clinical Simulation Facility at UTHealth. Busaidy's commitment to education and professional development is reflected in his training, having completed his DDS at the London Hospital Medical College School of Dentistry and a Fellowship in Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons of England. His residency in Oral Maxillofacial Surgery was completed at UTHealth School of Dentistry. His clinical research interests include diseases affecting the face and mouth, management of impacted wisdom teeth, dental implants, and various surgical interventions such as orthognathic surgery, TMJ surgery, and addressing facial trauma and jaw tumors.
