Kambiz Moez received his B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tehran, Iran in 1999, followed by M.A.Sc and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada in 2001 and 2006, respectively. He joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Alberta as an Assistant Professor in January 2007, and was subsequently promoted to Associate Professor in 2013 and then to Full Professor in 2021. Dr. Moez is a senior member of IEEE and a registered Professional Engineer in the Province of Alberta. His research primarily focuses on the design and implementation of Millimeter-Wave (MMW) Radio Frequency (RF) Integrated Circuits and Systems using CMOS technology for a wide array of applications, including communication systems, automotive radar, and biomedical imaging. He is actively working on the implementation of passive MMW/RF components such as inductors, capacitors, and resistors using active circuits. Current projects involve Ultra wideband technology for communication and biomedical applications, as well as developing dielectric models for device fluids in time-domain reflectometry.
