Dr. Kamil Faridi

Biography

Kamil Faridi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at Yale School of Medicine, specializing in Cardiovascular Medicine. He completed his medical degree at Duke University School of Medicine, followed by residency training in Internal Medicine at The Johns Hopkins Hospital and a fellowship in Cardiovascular Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Dr. Faridi's research is centered on primary and secondary prevention of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease and stroke, focusing on the utilization of cardiovascular medications and echocardiography in clinical practice. He has a Master of Science in Epidemiology from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Medicine, and is actively involved in outcome research through the Yale Center for Outcomes Research and Evaluation. Dr. Faridi has received prestigious awards, including the K23 Career Development Award from the National Institutes of Health/National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute and the Yale Center for Clinical Investigation Junior Faculty Scholar Award. He is a member of professional organizations such as the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association.
