Biography

Kamrouz Ghadimi is an experienced cardiovascular acute care specialist focused on cardiovascular anesthesiology and intensive care. He serves as an Associate Professor in the Anesthesiology Critical Care at Duke Health. His clinical practice is centered in the cardiothoracic surgical ICU, and he has broad expertise in perioperative cardiovascular medicine and the management of acutely ill patients undergoing surgery. Ghadimi's specific research interests include enhancing blood circulation, preventing bleeding, and managing thrombosis in surgical settings. He has published original research and reviews in high-profile journals such as JAMA, Circulation, and the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, and he has been involved in the editorial board and peer-review processes for over 30 medical journals. He is committed to improving cardiovascular health for surgical patients and has extensive experience in grant funding from various sources.
