Kangsoo Kim is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Software Engineering at the Schulich School of Engineering, University of Calgary, and the Director of the Human-X Interaction (HXI) Lab. His research integrates qualitative and quantitative methodologies across psychology and engineering, and he develops interactive VR/AR prototypes to investigate human perception and behavior in virtual environments. Dr. Kim has published extensively in top-tier conferences and journals and serves as an Associate Editor for Presence: Virtual and Augmented Reality and as a Review Editor for Frontiers in Virtual Reality. He has received multiple Paper Awards and actively invites students to partake in pioneering inter- and trans-disciplinary research.
