Dr. Kanna Gnanalingham

Biography

Kanna Gnanalingham is a consultant neurosurgeon based in Greater Manchester. He specializes in pituitary and complex spinal surgery, utilizing minimally invasive techniques such as endoscopy. Mr. Gnanalingham completed his medical training and neurosurgical training in London, where he developed expertise in complex spinal surgery and pituitary interventions. He was appointed as a consultant at the Greater Manchester Neuroscience Centre at Salford Royal Foundation Trust in 2005 and holds an honorary senior lecturer position at the University of Manchester. With a career that includes extensive publication and presentations across international platforms, he has been influential in advancing techniques in pituitary oncology surgery and minimally invasive spine surgery. His work includes numerous funded research projects and clinical trials in cervical disc replacement and the assessment of pituitary hormone deficiencies post-head injury. A committed educator, he teaches minimally invasive surgery techniques and is involved in various national and international workshops.
