Biography

Kanwal M. Farooqi, MD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Columbia University Medical Center, specializing in Pediatric Cardiology. She completed her pediatric cardiology training at Children’s Hospital Montefiore and has since undertaken advanced imaging fellowship training at Kravis Children’s Hospital at Mount Sinai. Dr. Farooqi has organized multicenter studies on the utility of 3D printed models in preoperative planning for congenital heart disease patients. She has authored multiple peer-reviewed manuscripts and is an invited speaker at numerous national and international conferences. As an expert in advanced imaging, she is helping to build a 3D printing program at Columbia University Medical Center, focusing on education for patients, families, and trainees.
