Dr. Kaouthar Lajili

Biography

Kaouthar Lajili is a Full Professor in Finance at the Telfer School of Management, University of Ottawa. She obtained her Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and holds professional designations as CPA and CGA. Her research interests are interdisciplinary, focusing on risk management, governance behavior, financial business reporting, valuation of human capital, and corporate governance. Her work examines enterprise risk management and information value disclosure, and she has published in several prestigious journals, including the Journal of Management Governance and the Canadian Journal of Administrative Sciences. Lajili teaches courses at both advanced undergraduate and graduate levels, contributing significantly to the academic community through her engaging teaching methodology and mentorship of students. Over the past seven years, she has been involved in multiple funded research initiatives, such as investigating credit risk management disclosure and the role of women in top management teams. She remains an active researcher with a commitment to advancing knowledge in her field.
