Biography

Kapil D. Patel received his M.Sc. in Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati, India, in 2010, and his Ph.D. in Nanobiomedical Science with a major in Tissue Regeneration Engineering from Dankook University, South Korea, in 2015. He continued his research as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Institute of Tissue Regeneration Engineering (ITREN) at Dankook University from 2016 to 2019. He was later promoted to Research Professor at Dankook University, where he also worked as a visiting Research Fellow at University College London (UCL), UK, from 2019 to 2020. Subsequently, he moved to Korea University, South Korea (2020-2021), and served as a Research Professor at the University of Bristol, UK, as a Senior Research Associate between 2021 and 2023. Currently, he is a Research Fellow at Australian National University, Australia. His research interests include the development of functional nano-biomaterials for tissue repair and regeneration, 3D bioprinting, redox-active nanomaterials, and cancer theranostics.
