Biography

K. Gautham Reddy, MD is a Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Chicago, specializing in complex liver diseases such as viral hepatitis and cirrhosis. Dr. Reddy holds the position of Associate Chief in the Section of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition. His work primarily involves clinical trials focused on novel therapeutics for rare cholestatic liver conditions. He has a strong background in medical ethics, serving as a faculty member at the MacLean Center for Clinical Medical Ethics, where he addresses issues concerning medical education and the physician workforce. Dr. Reddy has demonstrated a commitment to education, having served as the GI Fellowship Program Director and has received multiple teaching and mentorship awards throughout his career.
