Kara N Maxwell, MD, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine (Hematology-Oncology) at the Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Maxwell’s work is supported by prestigious funding bodies including the National Cancer Institute and the Prostate Cancer Foundation. She is a founding member of the EDISYN consortium, aimed at improving early cancer detection in patients with Li Fraumeni Syndrome. Through extensive research and collaborations, Dr. Maxwell seeks to understand the complexities of hereditary cancers and improve patient outcomes.
