Dr. Kara Motonaga

Biography

Kara Motonaga is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Pediatrics with a focus on Cardiology at Stanford University. Her clinical expertise encompasses Pediatric Electrophysiology and Arrhythmias, particularly in adult congenital heart disease and clinical cardiac electrophysiology. Dr. Motonaga received her medical education from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 2004, followed by multiple fellowships in Pediatric Cardiology and Electrophysiology at Stanford Hospital Clinics. She is board certified in Pediatrics and Adult Congenital Heart Disease, and has been recognized as a Certified Electrophysiology Specialist in Pediatric Cardiology. Dr. Motonaga’s commitment to medical education is evident in her participation as an Honors Scholar in the Stanford Clinical Teaching Seminar Series. She actively engages in research related to arrhythmias and congenital heart disease, and contributes to fellowship programs in Pediatric Cardiology. Her professional dedication is reflected in her various board certifications, including those from the American Board of Pediatrics and the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners.
