Biography

Karan L. Watson is a Senior Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Texas A&M University. He serves as the Interim Director of the Institute for Engineering Education Innovation (IEEI). He received his Ph.D. from Texas Tech University in 1982. Dr. Watson has been recognized with numerous awards for his contributions to the field, including the U.S. President's Award for Mentoring Minorities, the Women in Science and Technology Mentoring Award from the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the International Undergraduate Teaching Award from the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and the Crawford Teaching Award from Texas A&M University College of Engineering.
