Biography

Karen Cameron is an Assistant Professor at the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Toronto. She graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Toronto and completed her hospital pharmacy residency at St. Michael’s Hospital. Karen has extensive experience practicing in hospital, ambulatory, and primary care with a focus on nephrology, transplant, dialysis, diabetes, and geriatrics. She is the course coordinator for advanced pharmacy practice experience (APPE) rotations in institutional practice and has taught courses on pharmacotherapy and medication therapy management. Currently, Karen also coordinates Physical Findings Assessment course and APPE EPE rotations. Additionally, she serves as the Acting Director of the PharmD Pharmacists Program. Her current research interests include the use of virtual interactive cases in pharmacy education and preceptor models aimed at enhancing learning experiences for PharmD students.
