Biography

Karen Golden-Biddle is a Professor Emerita in Management & Organizations at the Questrom School of Business at Boston University. Her research has garnered recognition, including the 2022 Award from the Organizational Research Methods for her paper on coding practices, and the 2013 Douglas McGregor Award from the Journal of Applied Behavioral Science for her work on cultural change in organizational identity during mergers. Her co-authored book, 'Composing Qualitative Research,' is utilized in doctoral programs at top business schools worldwide, including Stanford and Columbia. Currently, her work emphasizes the critical role of the discovery process in fostering successful cultural change within organizations.
