Biography

Karen Valentin is an Associate Professor in the Department of Educational Anthropology at the Danish School of Education, Aarhus University. With a PhD in anthropology obtained in 2002, she has focused her research on the subdiscipline of educational anthropology from a comparative global perspective. Her thematic interests include migration and mobility, particularly education-related migration and the marketization of education. Furthermore, her contributions at international conferences and seminars enhance the academic discourse around educational processes and research methodologies in anthropology.
