Biography

Karen Verduijn is an Associate Professor at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in the School of Business and Economics. Her research focuses on the intricacies of politicality in entrepreneurial everyday life. She has published extensively in journals such as Organization, Entrepreneurship Regional Development, Journal of Management Inquiry, and International Small Business Journal. Additionally, she serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the Scandinavian Journal of Management and is on the board of the Entrepreneurship Studies Network. Her current research includes co-editing a Special Issue on Entrepreneurship Education and Pedagogy and leading the Regional collaboration project involving local food artisans. Some of her selected publications discuss critical perspectives in entrepreneurship and challenge dominant discourses in the field. Verduijn is also actively involved in teaching and supervising Master's and PhD theses in entrepreneurship education and has received accolades such as the European Entrepreneurship Education Award for her contributions to advancing entrepreneurship education.
